Dear blog, long time no see!
I’m sorry I neglected you for quite some time but it’s not up to you! It is me just not feeling it in the past weeks. I know we have to work this out somehow but I have to admit: I cheated on you.. yes, it’s true, I even cheated on you several times!
You don’t believe me, here goes a list:
World’s greatest snowboard review site on the web! The forums were quite busy these days and so it took me some time to attend to my duty as a moderator there.
- **censored**
Our student’s forum- file administrator and forum moderator appertain to my duties there.
- facebook
You know what it’s all about..
[...]
The list goes on and on but I think you got the point already. As soon as there is anything interesting worth posting coming up, be sure I will be back to you, blog. Until then, thanks for holding the line, I owe you one, big time!

Yesterday, being at a ‘hallowirthday’ party (both, halloween and birthday party), I learned about deezer.
Founded by Daniel Marhely and Jonathan Benassaya, Deezer offers free online music streaming to it’s users.
Unfortunately, quite many contents on the website are only available in French. And as French and I are like fire and water, I am not able to quote or tell anything from their website besides the fact, I just laid down.
Listening to The Prodigy’s album Invaders must die right now.
No ads (at least not while using Firefux with AdBlock+), no fees and really good sound quality. They also offer an built-in equalizer to finetune the songs you are listening to.
As a nice gesture you do not even have to register to listen to the music. Playlists and other extras do require a registration, though.
All in all a great service, sure worth checking out!

hey guys, some smaller update on the things going on right now:
As I mentioned in one of my last posts, I am now working at the snowboard-review.com forums. Trying to push the site and my experience level, I am currently working on a UNION Binding Company article about their Custom House models I’d like to publish at snowboard-review.com then. But well, first of all I need to get a reply to the mail I sent to UNION, next Rich (admin of snowboard-review.com) needs to check and approve the article. Then, there might be a chance it will be published on the site. I will keep you updated on the outcome of the efforts!
Other than that, the only thing I am doing right now is studying for my orals at university. This is pretty much everything I am doing every day..
Going to get back at this now!
Cheers

If you are looking for a standardized fitness-test, you have now found it:
The official United States Marine Corps Fitness Test!
A short summary what the test is about:
“The Marine Corps Fitness tests consists of three exercises: pull-ups, crunches, and a 3.0 mile run. The events are “designed to test the strength and stamina of the upper body, midsection, and lower body, as well as the efficiency of the cardiovascular system.”
All the exercises are to be performed in “one single session, not to exceed two hours.”
To reach the best result at this test, which is 300 points, you need to do 20 pull-ups, 100 crunches in 2 minutes and 18minutes for the 3 mile run. Each discipline gives 100points max. (Check the gmap-pedometer if you are looking or a 3mile route near your house)
The complete article about the Marine Corps Fitness Test including the complete score chart can be found at the The art of manliness website.
If you plan on doing the test, do not forget to post your result here! I have scheduled this test next week and will of course also publish my results here. Good luck!

According to the british government under Tony Blair, a RFID-chip on British ID cards should include informations about the owners facial identity as well as his fingerprints. The goal they want to achieve is a better way to oppose terrorism.
One major aspect opponents of the project always base themselves on is the lack of security that necessarily comes with such informations stored on ID cards. This argument always gets rejected by the government, though. There aren’t any security issues with such a card, they say.

Finally, around two years after his first album, Ronald Jenkees released his second album “Disorganized fun” !
For the moment, only the *.mp3 download version of the album is available. The ‘real’ CD is in work though and can be soon pre-ordered on his website.
Check out the great work of this genius and buy his CD to support him and make him able to continue working with music in the future.
If you want to know more about Ronald Jenkees and his music, check out his about page on his blog.

You probably already heard about url-shortener like x1t.org or su.pr.
But if it is for you as it is for me, you did not know about the untiny service provided by e.g. untiny.me. (currently supporting neither x1t.org nor su.pr)
Services like that are a great help in case you receive a shortened URL from someone you do not know or can not 100% trust and therefore want to know what is behind that link.
If you want more information about url-tools make sure to check lifehacker.com for their toplist of URL shrinkers/magnifiers.

Also, I got to say, just as someone on lokeshdhakar.com noticed about the picture: interesting to see this piece of work being constantly commented for around 2 years now, already!
P.S.: Check here for a slightly extended version.
